JHK Powerhouse Repair
The scope of work included exterior renovations of all the windows and adjacent masonry of 75 windows and louvered openings at the John H. Kerr Powerhouse building for the Wilmington District Army Corps of Engineers.
The project focused on:
Upgrading the parapet wall
Glass block windows
New flashing
Masonry
Asbestos abatement of window caulk
The contract required all work performed from elevated heights of nearly 100 feet over the Roanoke River, the JHK Dam and Reservoir, and active turbines.
