Solar Photovoltaic Array, Belton, MO (USACE)
The scope of work for this Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District project was to provide the installation of a ground mounted solar photovoltaic array and incidental related work associated with the installation of the solar panels. The solar array was built on ground mounted racks oriented to provide the maximum sun exposure for the area. The size of the system is approximately 145 kW nominal rated, which equated to an approximate 16,000 square feet project area. The intent was to utilize micro inverters and have the system be grid tied to feed power to the nearby reserve training center. The new solar system was enclosed with a new fence for safety and security purposes. Building(s) were occupied during performance of work under this Contract.
