The scope of work for this project involved the demolition of 21 facilities including 2 historic launch towers standing over 200 ft. tall, associated structures, pavement, and site restoration.

Demolition and deconstruction of indicated facility structures in its entirety including building structures, launch complex structures and other industrial facilities. 

Demolition and deconstruction of indicated facilities included all load and non-load bearing walls, floor slabs, interior and exterior stairs, windows, exterior doors, roof systems, interior wall assemblies, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, interior door assembly’s special construction, fuel storage tanks, and building infrastructure. 

Removal and disposal of hazardous construction materials includes asbestos-containing materials, lead base paint, and PCBs. 

Facility demolition and deconstruction work also included electrical equipment, fire alarm and communication systems as well as mechanical systems, where applicable. 

The towers were brought down using explosives.
