National Park Service awarded this Design Build project in 2 Phases.
Phase 1 was for design to Relocate Ferry Embarkation & Security Screening Operations in Battery Park Supplemental Services, Coordination Meetings and Site Visits.
Phase 2 includes construction of two light-frame modular structures at two project sites, including a temporary tent at the East Project Site and a final tent at the West Project site. Deconstruction of existing original tent at the West Project site and temporary tent to be constructed at the East Project Site. Salvage, transport, and storage of existing tent building materials for reconstruction. Structures are to be fitted with ventilation, heating and cooling (HVAC) systems, electric lighting and power, fire alarm and detection, telecommunications, CCTV and radio antennae communications systems, sized and constructed in accordance with local, state and federal code requirements. Site preparation includes limited excavation and grading, new fencing and site lighting, exterior mechanical platforms. East Project site will require new underground electrical and telecommunications services.
