The Charleston District, USACE awarded this contract for construction services for the installation of new ballistic rated (ATFP) door and window systems and the construction of a ballistic rated entry vestibule with electronic access control features, intercom and camera systems, and supporting structures.

The project included the demolition of existing construction to support the new work. AMES 1 was required to take appropriate precautions for worker protection and removal/disposal of hazardous building materials, such as Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), and to test and abate any necessary hazardous materials.
